boat

S/V Secret Water's name comes from a set of children's literature circa 1939. No doubt, we will read this adventurous series aloud for the entire family to enjoy and learn about our boat's name.

Our sailing vessel (s/v) is a 1979 54' Maple Leaf Cutter Rig with a center cockpit. It has 3 staterooms: a master and two equipped with bunks. The galley and salon layout are spacious enough (we hope) for 2 adults, 3 growing boys and 1 beagle. She was in good condition at time of purchase, but I'll be updating and putting our own finishing touches on it to make it feel more like home.

"The Maple Leaf series of cruisers ranging from 45-72 feet are all superb blue-water boats. While neither sexy nor traditional looking each is a no-nonsense, intelligently conceived vessel that will attract the attention of serious yachtsmen" Page 117 Cruisers World Jan-Feb 1987 https://goo.gl/EIPSCy

Turn the master stateroom mattress 90degrees and this is almost identical to Secret Water.
