Eli's TENTH Birthday

 My middle Eli turned 10 today. TEN. Our Eli is fun, caring, energetic, impulsive, intelligent, and loving. Since Mimi and Lala were here to celebrate his big day with us it made it all the more special. For his birthday, Eli wanted to see the new Pirates movie, but we threw in a beach day so that we could give him our gift - a wave runner rental experience. We knew this is something he'd been wanting to do for quite some time, and it was great to be able and surprise him.

At Friday's Spanish school, we brought a piñata and cake to celebrate with friends. One of our outings earlier in the week was the job of PICKING OUT A PIÑATA! There is a block in downtown La Paz that has about 6 stores, all dedicated to selling piñata's and dog food. Yes, dog food. I don't know why, but it's a thing. At the first store we just thought, "huh, that's odd." Then as we realized there was a theme at play we rolled with it. We went to almost every store twice. Eli had a difficult time deciding, and the one he wanted was meant for about 50 kids, it was a HUGE trompo!(https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Trompo)

I think the Minion was a good choice, it was big enough for this little party.
